A little tweak on the martini with an aniseed take and long liquorice/wood finish. I am wrestling with the thought that the drink may benefit from a couple of tsp of sugar syrup but to date have resisted the temptation.
Infuse vodka with liquorice root for about three days.

Measure your spirits into a glass, and add ice.
Stir gently for a traditional martini, or shake if you like a sheen of ice crystals in your drink.
Liquorice Allsorts make a fun garnish.
